The exhibition of small artworks in the Living Memory Association in Ocean Terminal is on display until 5th July 2019 and is the fourth 100 small works staged by Space artworks. Previous themes include Homecoming Scotland, Music and Scottish Stories. Working in partnership with the living memory association and having the opportunity to display the artworks next to the museums collection is a real pleasure. We invited artists living in Edinburgh and West Lothian including community groups and art clubs to submit a small artwork 6’x6’ or postcard sized canvas incorporating the theme of holidays and travel. The exhibition moves to the Living Memory Association in Livingston Centre on 12th July until 23rd August and then returns to Edinburgh for a final viewing at the Open door Day service in Morningside in September.
This reminds me of being on holiday. The feel of hot sand between my toes admiring the beautiful sand and sea makes me feel and removed from real life. S
