SMHAFF 2016: SPACE AND TIME
Space Artworks is delighted to be involved in this year's Scottish Mental Health Arts and Film Festival (SMHAFF). Our gallery exhibition 'Space and Time' is appearing as part of the larger exhibition project 'Out of Sight, Out of Mind'.
'Out of Sight, Out of Mind' has been running for four years and this is Space Artworks' second year of being involved in the project. The exhibition series is spread across Edinburgh, with works appearing in Summerhall, Edinburgh Central Library, Space Artworks and the Jeelie Piece Cafe.
Our gallery contribution 'Space and Time' is currently up in Space Artworks, Morningside and features pieces by Michael Boyd, Edina Donald, The Hive, Rosy Long and Michael Dawson. We are thrilled to have such a great show for the month, on until the end of October.
In addition to this exhibit, we are also pleased to announce the exciting news that some of the artists we work with have submitted work to the wider exhibition series. Work by Edina Donald, Joe Bilan, Lesley Laporte and Michael Boyd can be found at Summerhall and other featured venues. All exhibitions run from now until the 31st of October. A diverse collection of multi-media works, created by 100 artists with lived experience of mental health issues, 'Out of Sight, Out of Mind' offers a great chance to experience something new, challenge perceptions of mental health issues, learn and see some great art.
